In addition to serving as Chairman of OMRC, Tam is Chairman of the Board and CEO of Tamblyn McQueen Investments, LLC, a real estate development and investment firm. In this capacity he lead the establishment of a strategic plan for expansion of the company and secured capital for ongoing operations and future growth. He is key in strategy, execution, business development, financial analysis and projections. His experience includes commercial, residential and resort hotel real estate investment and development.
Tam worked as a high-level Executive at Mercer Human Resource Consulting, including as a Member of the Board of Directors, Leader of Business Development for North and South America, Unit Business Leader, and Office Leader. Tam’s work has given him tremendous experience in business strategy, operations, business development, investment strategy, recruiting, governance, human resource development, and creation and implementation of intellectual capital. He served as an office leader of the most profitable Mercer office among fifty global locations. He served on the Board of Directors of Mercer for 8 years. Tam currently serves on the Board of Trustees for a non-profit organization that maintains a historical church and cemetery.
Tam received his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Missouri/Columbia. He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and has received a Certificate of Director Education from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Tam provides the lead for OMRC in making financial projections regarding the feasibility of projects considered by OMRC. He has worked closely with attorneys, engineers, accountants, and government officials in resolving issues related to all manner and size of development projects. Tam is married to Cynthia and has four sons, with his 15th grandchild on the way.
