Mike is OMRC’s primary administration and compliance officer. Prior to his retirement from Mercer Human Resource Consulting, Mike was the leader of the retirement practice in the Kansas City office. This position included managing a staff of as many as 35 professionals, setting budgets and managing to budgets to deliver planned profits. Until the management of all computer resources was centralized, Mike managed the computer operations for a group of Mercer’s Midwest offices. In addition, he was senior consultant with several large clients on all aspects of retirement strategy, including design, financing and administration. At the national level he was a member of the Actuarial Resource Group that provided technical and product development guidance to the US retirement practice. Maintaining excellent quality was a primary goal of this group. This goal was achieved by providing thorough and timely guidance on technical requirements, training of professionals in the offices and periodic audits of offices.
Mike received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Actuarial Science from Drake University in Des Moines Iowa. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
Mike’s actuarial background and considerable analytic capabilities make him perfectly suited to perform the RIMS II econometric analysis for OMRC. His extensive experience and skills modeling complex financial processes has assisted in the creation of viable financing arrangements for various development projects.
Mike is married to Pam and has a son, a daughter and two grandchildren.
